Ken Fillian backside air @ Round Rock Skatepark Most press releases received by ASN get chunked in the vertical filing cabinet, but this one looks like it might be relevant to some of the people clogging up my cell phone’s voice mail with messages asking if the bowl is open for skating:

“Round Rock’s much-anticipated and hard-won skatepark has been temporarily closed due to a weekend incident where a suspect painted graffiti over various areas within the park. Signage at the park states it will be closed in the event of graffiti. Round Rock police are currently investigating the crime. Several skaters who use the park have been cooperating with police to expedite the investigation and the suspect’s arrest. City parks and recreation staff hope to reopen the park as soon as the damage can be repaired. Notice will be sent out when the park is reopened.”

Thanks for your consideration.

Fencing should be up around the bowl before the end of the week.
