After Sound Exchange closed down, the new tenant, a burrito chain store, gutted the building and intended to rip out the wall hosting this Daniel Johnson mural. Thankfully, some cluefull Austinites protested and the chain realized they were going to destroy a cultural artifact. Instead, they had their architect sketch a redesign that kept the mural intact. Additionally, they bought another piece from D. Johnson on canvas that hangs on the other side of the wall in the restaurant. Nice to see a chain store pay respect to the local scene. Yeah, this isn't a poster, but it's in here as a piece of significant street art.
