Not a lot going on these days. Most people I know have either left town or become considerably dormant.
Just a few things to report here before Christmas arrives. Rabbi has been onsite in Round Rock for more than a week working with Doug King and Matt Gatsby on that skatepark. I stopped by there to say hello yesterday and shot some photos of the bowl under construction. It’s mostly above ground due to the soil conditions. They’ll backfill with dirt after the concrete’s poured.
Dave Reynolds reported more frustrations on the project in Tyler. A concrete pump broke while they were pouring the mini bowl which required them to order a second pump. Then, after they worked the surface for hours to get a smooth finish, rain began to fall. I’m planning to go up there after Christmas, so I’ll get to check it out next week.
Carter visited Hondo a couple weeks back to attend the grand opening. Check out his photos on the sk8sa.org site. They’ve got lights!

Bryce Kanights and his crew at Skatedaily.net paid a compliment to Austin Skate Notes by selecting ASN as the “site of the week” this week. Thanks guys!
