This past summer has seen some tremendous works of celluloid projected on screens across the nation. Box office cash registers rang up a record $4.1 billion with the Simpsons and Bourne Ultimatum leapfrogging each other to set the record for largest August opening weekend evah. Superbad (uncensored trailer) didn’t set any records, but it has continued to prove that there’s a strong market for awesome R-rated comedies by taking first place at the box office two weeks in a row. Earlier this year, Will Ferrell delivered what many of my friends are calling his funniest film: Blades of Glory. Last week it was released on DVD. Inspired by these other films, I edited together some video footage I shot in the opening week of the Broken Arrow Skatepark.

STI-
Although we agree on a great many things, I have to distance myself from your position on Blades of Glory (aka Grublets on Ice). Blades of Glory was the funniest movie to be released this year until Superbad came out three weeks ago. I frequently struggle deciding whether Grublets is actually funnier than Old School.

Blades of Gloy is too subtle for most American audiences, like Jerry Lewis.
